Two years of Downtown London Gift Card program
LONDON, ON – Downtown London Business Improvement Area (BIA) celebrates two years of the Downtown London Gift Card program this month! The gift card can be redeemed at 150+ registered businesses within the BIA’s district.
Over the past two years, Downtown London has sold over $230,000 worth of gift cards, and has provided $170,000 worth of gift cards in sponsorships. That is over $400,000 dedicated to local downtown spending!
“Our gift card program was launched in 2021 as part of our COVID-19 economic recovery response,” explained Barb Maly, Executive Director of Downtown London. “It has become a fundamental tool and has encouraged more than $400,000 in local spending in our downtown core.
“We know that many of London’s residents, downtown office workers and out of town visitors come downtown to explore the unique offerings that many downtown restaurants, retailers or salons have to offer. These include both traditional favorites and new storefront businesses as Downtown London has had over 35 new businesses that have opened this year!”
The gift card is a great gift for people that like a bit of everything – with several restaurants, retail stores, and personal services registered with the card, it is the gift of many experiences.
