Local game developer goes worldwide
LONDON, ON – Doom Turtle, a downtown London-based game developer, has reached a major career milestone: their new game Ember Knights has been picked up by Nintendo Switch. It is being launched worldwide on both Switch and Steam on Tuesday, July 18.
Doom Turtle is set to celebrate this achievement with their launch party on Wednesday, July 19 at the Mana Lounge from 3 to 6 pm. The public is invited to join the celebration, meet the game developers and artists, and play the game for free.
“For us, Ember Knights has truly been a project of passion,” said Brad Evans, Executive Producer of Ember Knights and COO of Doom Turtle. “It’s the game we’ve always wanted to make and to be able to share this experience with the world has been incredibly rewarding and we’re completely humbled by how well it’s been received.”
Ember Knights has been very well received by the gaming community during Steam’s Early Access period achieving the impressive accomplishment of Overwhelmingly Positive with a 95% rating. In the action-packed 1-4 player roguelite, users play as legendary knights, the last spark of hope against the mad sorcerer Praxis. The game trailer can be watched here.
